Ever since I made this bag, I’ve been receiving a lot of orders. However, the major challenge I face is pricing. The price always seems to be an issue.
I often ask, “Is it not neat? Do you see any damage or tears? The response I usually get is, It’s handmade. It’s not imported, and it’s not a designer brand.
But those designers and imported bags are made by people like me. Or is it simply because I am not yet a well-known designer?
If we don’t value products made in our own country, how do we expect our economy to grow? How can you say you love something yet refuse to pay its true value? I believe when you truly love something, you are willing to pay for its worth — because you cannot love what you do not value.
Still, I encourage myself. It is normal for people to reject or undervalue your work at the beginning. Even the most well-known designers once faced the same struggles when they were just starting out.
