Before any Solar System Design/Installation is carried out, a proper Power Audit of the facility must be carried out to determine the power consumption in the facility. It is after proper power audit that the size/cost of a solar system that will give power to a particular facility can be determined. Power audit is the feasibility study carried out on the energy consumption of a particular building or facility. Power audit is essentially an energy analysis of a facility.
An energy audit involves the systematic review of the energy consuming equipment/system in a building to identify Energy Management Opportunities (EMO), which provides useful information for the building owner to decide on and implement the energy saving measures for environmental consideration and economic benefits.
