Today the church venerates Saint Charles Lwanga( Patron Saint of Youths) Luganda: Kaloli Lwanga; 1 January 1860[3] – 3 June 1886 who was a Ugandan convert to the Catholic Church and was martyred with a group of his peers and is revered as a saint by both the Catholic Church and the Anglican Communion.

Twelve Catholic boys( including Kizito), men and nine Anglicans were then burnt alive in Uganda for never denying their faith even in the face of death.

Just like these martyrs, may Almighty God give us the strength to be good Christians and to be able to withstand trails and temptation. Amen!
