The Association for Better Eruwa wishes to chronicle events and court cases since the demise of Oba Olaniyan in 1994 so that those using their weight on a weightless exercise will stop gallivanting from Canada to UK, back to the US and come back home to respect the law and destiny.

1. The Lasubu AGBARAGBA family caused the Oyo state government to institute a panel of enquiry which they lost.

2. The Lasubu AGBARAGBA family challenged the white paper on the enquiry in court and on May 22, 1998 they also lost.

3, Based on the judgment which affirmed that Olaribikusi ruling house is made up of AGBARAGBA, AJAO, OMONI AND SABI ROYAL FAMILIES, the Ibarapa East Local Government issued a public notice to the Eldest member of the ruling house to convey a meeting of the ruling house within 14 days.

4. The meeting so conveyed produced three candidates I e. Alhaji OYEDEPO from the MALE line, Prince OKUNLOLA and Prince OJELADE from the FEMALE line and forwarded the names to the kingmakers to pick in accordance with the Eleruwa declaration.

5. Both Adegbola and AGBARAGBA family submitted their names independent of the ruling house.

6. The kingmakers picked Adegbola.

7. The ruling house thereafter mandated the Eldest member of the ruling house and Alhaji Oyedepo as candidate to sue Adegbola, the government and the kingmakers in August 1998.

8. On January 26, 2011 the high court gave judgment and ordered among others:
A. Adegbola's nomination, selection and appointment were declared null and void.
B. The government and the kingmakers are restrained from recognising him as an Oba.
C. The kingmakers are to pick from the three names forwarded by the ruling house.
D. The Lasubu AGBARAGBA could also forward the name of their candidate through the ruling house which AGBARAGBA family failed to do.

9. Adegbola didn't comply with the court orders and the government continued to pay him.

10. Adegbola appealed the judgment at the Court of Appeal.

11. On July 15, 2013 Adegbola lost again. In addition the court of appeal strucked out the name of AGBARAGBA family out of the contest saying that because they didn't hold the meeting with the other members of the ruling house they have lost their chance and up till now they didn't appear. The appeal court stated only three names.

12. Against court orders Adegbola installed some people as kingmakers in 2019 and appealed to the supreme court.

13. In November 2019, Adegbola also lost at the supreme court but also filed motion for review.

14. This time around the state government obeyed the court by stopping his salary in January 2020 and caused his exit from the palace.

15. On January 26, 2023 Adegbola finally lost and he was fined.

16. Adegbola has been paying his fine instalmentaly to Alhaji OYEDEPO.

17. In defiance of court orders the powers that have continued to pay the salaries of those Adegbola illegally appointed as Chiefs.

18. The supreme court also affirmed the three names of ALHAJI OYEDEPO, Prince OKUNLOLA and Prince OJELADE.

19. No doubt the Lasubu Agbaragba is an integral part of OLARIBIKUSI RULING HOUSE but their insistence on not submitting themselves into ruling house process has earned them zero point in their struggle.

(111) In 2009, they filed a motion to join Oyedepo's case against Adegbola. They lost. 0-3

(V)In 2011, the court, while giving judgment in Oyedepo's case directed that Agbaragba could submit the name of their candidate through the ruling house. They refused to comply. 0-5
(V1) In 2013 when the court of appeal was given judgment in Adegbola vs Oyedepo they removed their name completely from the approved list of candidates. 0-6

In summary any politician wishing to assist them now by looking for copy of Agbaragba's case should know which of the cases is marketable.
