Gov Umahi to establish ruga across 13 LGA in ebonyi state.

Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has promised to map out some portions of land at the different local government areas of the state which would serve as cattle grazing fields for Fulani herdsmen.
Governor Umahi, who made the promise on Tuesday in Abakaliki during a State Security Council meeting, also urged the security agencies in the state to disarm any herdsman that is in possession of dangerous weapons.
The governor further stated that the grazing fields will be in such a way that the herdsmen would feed their cattle in areas where there are no farmlands, noting that he would consult with local governments in the state to arrange grazing fields and also make such known to the herdsmen.
Governor Umahi also reaffirmed his administration's committment to ensure a cordial relationship between Fulani herds and host communities in the state ; as he warned traditional rulers and their communities not to take laws into their hands by attacking herdsmen in the state.
He however debunked rumours that some herdsmen are planning to attack some communities in the state.
