I had this long conversation with one of my casual friends about this trending internet fraud popularly called Yahoo. He categorically told me he's involved in the street. I asked him what it means, is it to be involved in snatching of bags — armed robbery or what? He said it means to be involved in yahoo; duping people in the internet. I said oh!

Something now caught my attention in the discussion and made me fully immerse myself in the pool of the discussion. He said he has been doing Yahoo for the past one year but he has not been lucky to hit the jackpot. He has attempted to successfully dupe up to six clients but when it remained a little effort for the clients to send money, something used to happen and got the plan spoilt. He said probably this Yahoo of a thing doesn't align with his destiny. I smiled.

He added that he is actually doing this internet fraud with conscience. I asked him how, that is there any conscience in duping people for money? He said he made the statement because he has the intention of stopping the fraud immediately he successfully closed a Yahoo deal and he will resultantly diversify the money in real businesses because that's what one of his friends actually did. In my mind, I was like you want to make someone cry and use the cry to start your own happiness, wow!

As a person, I love having deep discussions with Yahoo boys, because reminding them of things they know but choose to forget is a thing I love doing. I asked him why he decided to engage in such act. He acquainted me with the fact that time is not really in his side again. He's actually turning 23 in April, 2024. I told him my age which definitely he knew I was older than him. I said, despite my age and nothing to show even as a graduate, I never thought of choosing Yahoo as my next source of income. I just keep hoping and doing the little I can.

To solidify my points with him, I said there is a perception I have about life: God never, for any reason, created a man, sent him to the world and destined him to be poor till death. God is not such wicked. He has definitely destined everyone to hit success at a point in time but the time is a mystery to every mankind — nobody knows the time.

Now, considering the fact that you don't know when God has destined you to hit your success, you decide to opt for acts that God does not approve, won't that affect the plan of God for your life? Okay, it's sounding like I'm preaching like one of those regular evangelists in the street. Let me illustrate with a practical example. If God planned that me, Peter will have my story changed in April this year and in March, I decided to start duping people, making them cry and suffer for the rest of their lives, I would push them to cry to God and curse me. Now, the God that has judgement in his hand may decide to forfeit the life changing success he planned for me in April because of my dubious acts in March. It's as simple as such. In fact, the curses of my clients may not be only directed at me, but also to my next innocent generation. God! This is how curses transition from generation to generation. If my forefathers have caused one in the past, I shouldn't create a new one for those coming behind me.

He kept following up, I added that the space of time between poverty and riches is just a second. As you're seeing me poor monetarily at the moment, your next sight of me might be of different amazing appearance. That's life!

Bringing my points to an end, I pointed at a mansion which the owner is a multimillionaire and he himself is working under the man, I asked him that did he know that till 30 this man was busy struggling in the streets of Lagos, pulling wheelbarrows, doing Okada (commercial motorcycling) as a graduate. It's after 30 years of age, things began to have a new face in his life. He affirmed he heard of the whole story too and he's shocked. I said good!

All being said, he felt motivated and made a statement which I would love to share. He said this night, like today's evening particularly, he would tell his boss in Yahoo that he's no more interested in the act. I smiled. I would do a follow-up to ensure he's not just motivated but really decisive.

I saw this old woman at a corner selling African star apples called 'agbalumo' in Yoruba language and Odara in Igbo language. The exact time I passed, she yawned, I concluded she's most likely hungry. I briefly looked at what she was selling. They are not even attractive at all, almost all were already rotten, attracting flies.

I moved past the place going home but this spirit started disturbing me questioning me that didn't I see that woman selling African star apples yawn when I passed. I was like that's true but I didn't have more than 700 naira in my pocket.

I kept moving while struggling with the spirit. After moving very far away, I succumbed to the spirit. I went back to the woman. I asked her how much she was selling the fruits, she said 50 naira each. Everything she's selling wasn't even up to 500 naira. Almost all the fruits were rotten. Nobody would ever approach her for any purchase.

I asked her how much was everything, she kept taking in Igbo language, I didn't understand anything. I asked the help of a man close to her to please interpret what I am saying to her. After all, I offered her 500 naira and she packed everything for me.

Getting close to my house where there was a waste spot, I disposed of everything. You see this Nigeria situation, the old ones are always at the receiving end. Everyone is facing the sh*ts of this country but you see these old ones, the government really need to, because of them, make things work in Nigeria. God will help us sha.

This is a message to everyone to help the old ones with whatever they're selling. I'm not asking you to buy rotten product but to always patronise them. I bought the rotten fruits not to consume them but just to help the woman. God will help us all.

This girl declared she can't marry a poor man because she has nothing, so she must marry a man that has something to balance the situation. The statement caught my attention and made me have a banter with her. How would you say you can't marry someone that is poor because you're also poor, that the equation is not balanced. In short, the poor+the poor and the rich+the rich. Wow! Interesting! Okay.

As a poor man right activitist for promising poor men in Nigeria and her environ, I gave her a slap of word in form of a question, I said 'Don't you know you're directly a problem to a rich man? She asked me how. I told her the money he is to be spending on you as a poor wife can actually be invested in a business and yield more profit. She answered that if she is a problem to a rich man, then what is she to a poor man? Ọmọ! Make Una give am answer o😅.

I remember how my mum would always tell me 'Peter, don't marry a liability o'. Today, the liabilities are telling us they want to be our liabilities even though we never get money.

Out of curiosity, I asked her what if a poor man is the will of God for her, would she defy God? While anticipating her response, a lady who has been listening to our funny argument replied me in support of her fellow Eve gender. She said a poor man can never be the will of God for a woman. That God doesn't do that. The matter shock me😅. Guys, is that true?🤣

I was in an open discussion with my uncle one day when he made a statement that caught my attention. He said the help you render to people is a blessing to you. I jumped into a moment of thought pondering the statement. He then stated further that we humans are supposed to be always looking for people to help because the help we render to people will direct to us an unexpected blessing in a way we least expect.

I know you might have heard of a similar thing but have you personally experienced it? Have you helped someone and the blessing of it came in multiple folds? If you had, then you have seen the beauty of life and a reason to do more in order to attract more blessing.

Why am I writing this? Two days ago, I was asked to design urgent banners for someone, she loved the works, she got moved to gift me #500 to buy drink. Meanwhile I was left with #500 before, with that gifted #500, I had 1k naira. I used my initial #500 to buy lunch remaining #500 on me which was the money I was gifted. Few minutes later, someone just muttered that they're hungry and had no money. I picked the #500, gave them. That was the last money on me. I got empty with no hope of any money anywhere.

Fast forward to a day after, I got a message from someone who needed some designs and few printing works. I got the job, did everything in a day, 9k profit got into my pocket. I asked myself how the money came unexpectedly. Then, I remembered immediately that I helped someone with #500 a day before and probably the blessing has come without delay.

Now note, this is not an opportunity to come to my DM and be giving me headache claiming you've not eaten for the past one month. I also need help too, I have not eaten from the beginning of this year too. So, let's be careful with our behaviours. In fact, I know how to know who needs a genuine help.

So, ladies and gentlemen, this is to remind you that giving is still a key to blessing if you are fighting with lacks. I am fighting with it, many others are fighting with it and through this great means, we will have more than enough one day. Give as much as you can but not to your own detriment, be careful at it. Where do you people see rubbish to date and eventually marry please? Rubbish, I mean those girls that have nothing — poverty stricken and brain-empty. Girls as empty as Nigeria refinery barrels yet placing themselves on a ladder of nothing.

Well, I have one thing to say actually. I call it a fact. You are most likely attracted to the being you are. A Yoruba adage says 'ẹgbẹ́ ẹyẹ l'ẹyẹ n wọ́ tọ̀' (birds of a feather flock together). If you are such a guy that loves to impress girls at every slight opportunity you come in contact with one, you won't fail to attract the girl who is only attracted to your first impression.

She will be attracted to probably the fake appearance you present. Resultantly, her expectations will surround the first impression you give.

You would see a guy meeting a new girl and the first in his mind is how to choose a very classy and expensive eatery to have a cool date, meanwhile, he borrows to finance the date. What of a guy that engages in a shopping spree just to impress a girl? When the girl eventually gets attracted to what she has been offered and feels she is in a relationship of her fake dream, you as a man finds it difficult to keep up the lifestyle. Eventually, you call her a gold digger. Bro Emmanuel, you are mad! Sorry, not only you, you and the girl are mad.

The girl on the other hand, because you are beautiful and your beauty attracts many guys such that you are always taken on a date by different guys like a farm dog, you feel it's your birthright to date or marry a rich guy. Your mind no go touch ground!

You don't even stop at that, you go about foaming in the mouth that a guy that has no money shouldn't get close to you when in reality, you have no business you can claim your own nor a skill-set. In fact, your brain is empty and can't even think of a business than always thinking of how to get a rich guy to date or marry.

As I have earlier said, you are attracted to the being you are. A guy who is not rich and has plans running for him would not unnecessarily go extra mile to win a girl's heart by impressing her with fake things. Also, the girl who decides to date or marry a man at his 'lowest' is most likely a product of true love and perfect being for the kind of person the guy is — no fake life, no fake impression, just his normal 'self'.

So, if you attract all those rubbish you call girls as a man, look at yourself, you're the first problem.
