RIVERS STATE ADC EXECUTIVE MEMBERS _ELECT HOLDS FIRST FARMILIRIZATION MEETING

The congressionally, democratically and constitutionally elected members of the Rivers State African Democratic Congress (ADC) , state working committee (SWC), and expanded executive members led by Chief.Engr. Chukwudi Dimkpa (FNSE) , today Tuesday 19th May ,2026 had its first farmilirisation meeting at the ADC secretariat in Woji road,GRA ,Port Harcourt

Addressing newsmen shortly after the meeting,Dr.Dimkpa, a former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO),Rivers State Signage Agency,where he significantly revamped the sector that boosted the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state as at that time,charged the party elected officers to top gear in their individual efforts to strengthen the values, ideas, principles ,as a way of achieving desired coalition objectives

He opined that the party under his leadership is committed to drive the required force , strategies and initiatives towards ensuring that in 2027, ADC will produce crop of elected representatives both at the centre and across the states ,that will prioritize on the welfare of the people over personal entitlements against the current experience

He charged all executive members to develop workable plans in their respective line of duties ,that way according to him, the state leadership will not only be formidable,vibrant but effective and efficient to combat the task ahead

He congratulated all the elected officers and promised them of an all inclusive system that will be people centred and not power centred

As the coalition business in Rivers State thickens ,Dr.Chukwudi Dimkpa , Chairman Elect African Democratic Congress ( ADC), Rivers State chapter,has charged the 23 local government chairmen of the party to stimulate a well structured leadership organ to mobilize electorates ahead of the 2027 general elections

Engr.Dimkpa, a veteran politician gave the charge to the chairmen today tuesday 19th May,2026 in a maiden farmilirisation meeting held at the ADC secretariat in Port Harcourt

He charged them to work hard towards ensuring that their local government will be in the list of those that won elections during the review of score cards

He explained that the meeting was to farmilirise with everyone,build a common front and charge them to double their zeal ahead of the task which according to him must be achieved

Dr.Dimkpa was joined by some state executive members during the session and highpoints of the converge included solidarity speeches from the chairmen, coalition messages from elected state officers

South South ADC Youth Leaders Elect Held Strategic Meeting in Calabar.

The political landscape of the South-South region has just witnessed a seismic shift. The newly elected Youth Leaders from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have officially disrupted the status quo, convening a high-stakes strategic summit in the city of Calabar. This gathering was not for ceremony; it marked the formal, aggressive takeoff of a unified, highly intellectual blueprint by the region's emerging powerhouse leaders to completely rewrite the political narrative and capture real development for the people.

The gathering brought together youth leaders elect from all six South South states, the meeting was a intensive, working session dedicated to pooling intellect, resources, and vision.

In a press statement issued at the close of the summit, the Rivers State ADC Youth Leader Elect, Hon. Omiete Yellowe declared:

While traditional parties are locking doors, rigging primaries, and allowing godfathers to handpick weak candidates to protect their personal empires, the ADC has consolidated the most potent youth structures across the South-South. Former Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on Thursday officially submitted his presidential nomination form at the National Secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abuja ahead of the 2027 Presidential Election.

The development marks another major milestone in the growing democratic process within the ADC as leaders and aspirants from across the country continue to identify with the party’s vision for national renewal, credible leadership, and people-centered governance.

The atmosphere at the ADC National Secretariat reflected increasing public interest and confidence in the party as Nigerians continue to look forward to a future built on unity, competence, economic recovery, and national progress.

Some young and vibrant Assembly aspirants under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State have picked up their nomination forms to contest in the party primaries scheduled to hold in the coming days across the State.

The aspirants, drawn from various LGAs and constituencies, expressed confidence and a strong spirit of unity, stating that they are fully prepared to emerge victorious against any opposition in the general elections.

The State leadership of the African Democratic Congress also assured the aspirants of the party’s full support, cooperation, and commitment towards ensuring fairness and level playing field for all, during the primaries.

Rivers state ADC Governorship race.

Eight aspirants have indicated interest in contesting the Rivers State governorship on the African Democratic Congress platform in the 2027 general elections.

This is as the party hailed what it termed “boldness” of a former governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi, for picking the form to contest for the presidency on the ADC’s platform.

Amaechi was the Minister of Transportation during the immediate past administration of late President Muhammadu Buhari.

A statement issued by the State ADC chairman-elect, DrChukwudi Dimkpaa, in Port Harcourt on Sunday night, said the party has continued to witness an unprecedented wave of political interest and participation ahead of next year’s general poll.

Dimkpa, in the statement, said, “This is a clear indication that the party has rapidly emerged as the preferred platform for credible leadership, progressive politics, and people-driven governance.

“The formal declaration of intent by Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to contest for the office of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of the African Democratic Congress marks yet another major milestone in the growing national momentum around the party.

“In Rivers State, the level of interest generated within the ADC has been extraordinary. No fewer than eight prominent individuals have already indicated interest in contesting for the office of governor under the platform of the party.”

Dimkpa said those who have so far shown willingness to contest for the state governorship include former public office holders, technocrats, accomplished professionals, and respected private-sector operators.

They are, among others, a former Secretary to the Rivers State Government, a former member of the House of Representatives, and a former Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority.

“Another former member of the House of Representatives and former Chairman of NIMASA, a former Commissioner for Employment Generation, a former Chief Medical Director of UPTH, a renowned architect and successful private sector leaders and entrepreneurs,” the statement added

The party chairman revealed that several respected individuals from the state who are qualified have also expressed interest in contesting for the Senate, House of Representatives, and State Assembly positions across the state.

He said the development sends a clear message that ADC is no longer viewed as an alternative party but one to beat.

According to him, ADC is now increasingly being seen as the vehicle for the future.

“It is a convergence of experience, competence, credibility, youth energy, and grassroots belief in a new political direction for Rivers State and Nigeria.

“For years, many Nigerians complained that credible people stayed away from politics. Today, credible people are not only joining politics but also deliberately choosing ADC.

“The growing influx of respected leaders and professionals into the party reflects increasing public confidence in the vision, internal democratic culture, and transformational agenda of ADC,” he said.

Dimkpa noted that ADC in Rivers State remains committed to transparent processes, internal democracy, peaceful engagement, and issue-based politics as preparations intensify toward 2027.
