Pursue one: a call to reach the lost

The mission to reach lost souls begins with an understanding of God's character. He is not a distant judge, but a searching Father. In Luke 15, Jesus provides the ultimate model for evangelism through the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the prodigal son.
Scripture reminds us that God honors one sinner who repents more than ninety-nine people who are already saved (Luke 15:7).
To reach the lost, we must adopt the same "heavenly advantage": we give high value to those who have lost their way.

Ministry of Reconciliation
As believers, we are not only called to "be good people"; we were appointed ambassadors. The Apostle Paul explains this in 2 Corinthians 5:18-20:
"All this comes from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation... Therefore, we are the ambassadors of Christ, as if God made his call for us. »
We are the physical instruments through which God makes his call to the world. Reaching the lost is the act of standing in the gap and pointing the way to the Creator. Harvest emergency
Jesus looked at the world and saw a field ready to be harvested, but he noticed an important problem: the lack of workers. In Matthew 9:37-38 he told his disciples:
"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest field. »
Reaching the lost soul requires moving from the comfort of the "bench" to the "field". It requires intentionality, prayer, and the willingness to go where people are hurting, confused, and looking for hope. The power of the Gospel
We often hesitate to reach out because we feel like we can't find the right words. However, the Bible assures us that the power is found in the message and not in the messenger. Romans 1:16 says:
"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes."
When we share our testimony and the truth of Christ, we release the power of God to transform the human heart.
