My story is that of God's Grace.
In 2018 I came to Abuja from Delta state for my IT after the successful completion of my National Diploma from Delta state Polytechnic Ozoro.
I couldn't find a place for IT so I had to stay one year at home.
Then April 2019, I got a call from someone I had told I was looking for a job to come for an interview. I got to the venue, I was interviewed by the MD/CEO himself and I was asked to start work immediately as a receptionist. Salary was #20,000 with a promise to add #5,000 every three months. Three months came, my boss later said I was too forgetful so he needed to communicate with his board of Directors who happen to be his family. Six months later my salary was increased to #30,000.00
Being that I was all my family had having lost my father at the age of 18, I decided to give the job my all. And bring a trained secretary (I read secretariat studies) it was easy for me to fulfill my responsibility.

I was the cleaner, the messenger, the errand girl, the secretary and everything you can think of when you think of a one man business.

My MD's friends in their numbers would come to the office for lunch and dinner. The dinner own was usually called qualfing (drinking). After returning from my numerous errands, I will meet up to eight people (my boss's friends and babes) having lunch, I will meet enough letters on my desk to type. So the first thing I would do is to make sure I clear their table and do the dishes before continuing with my work. While working, more friends will be coming while others are going, before you knew it I will be called to go buy wine and roasted chicken or fish. I will have to wait to clear the mess and everything before leaving the office. At times 7pm. This was my everyday routine.
I was the only staff then but at some point we got a marketing who only stayed for three months. At least she helped in doing some of my letters while I continued with my errand work.
