IF YOU DON’T SACRIFICE FOR WHAT YOU WANT, WHAT YOU WANT BECOMES THE SACRIFICE

Anything that is worth something is worth sacrificing for.

If you don’t sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice.

When you set goals and then strive to reach these goals you grow as a person, and as a productive member of society.

No matter what it is that you want out of your life, whether it is a specific career goal like being a doctor or lawyer or a life goal like finding the right spouse or purchasing your first home, the rewards that you are seeking will require effort and sacrifice.

If your goal is to buy a home then you may sacrifice going out to eat every other night in order to save money for a down payment. If you don’t do this then you are sacrificing the dream of owning your own home just to enjoy dinner out more often.

Life is full of checks and balances, and you will frequently find that in order to gain or achieve one thing you have to give up something else because you cannot have things both ways.

You cannot spend 80+ hours in the office to get ahead on the corporate ladder and also have plenty of time to spend with family. You will have to decide which of these goals is more important and then let go of the other one because it is impossible to do both.

Some things in life are worth making sacrifices for, but choose wisely, and make sure that you are making the sacrifices for the right reasons.
