Taiwan is introducing new cybersecurity requirements for a wide range of internet-connected devices, with mandatory compliance beginning January 1, 2028.

The new BSMI requirements will apply to products including routers, gateways, network equipment, internet-connected TVs, digital cameras, video recorders, and other connected devices.

As cybersecurity regulations continue to expand worldwide, manufacturers must look beyond traditional safety and EMC requirements to ensure global market access.
