Delivery of ultra-low maintenance cargo lift!
This recently delivered modular cargo lift for Aker BP’s new Valhall PWP platform is optimized for very low maintenance.
The structure and most mechanical components are made of stainless steel. With no winch wires to replace, automated lubrication, and several other features, maintenance is reduced to an absolute minimum.
Thank you for the order, and a big thanks to the team for their outstanding effort!

Introducing the New Telescopic Energy Absorbing Mousehole and New Moonpool Tubular Support Tool developed by Stavanger Engineering.
Our Telescopic Energy Absorbing Mousehole can catch dropped tubulars without being removed when not in use, thus saving 6 – 8 hours of rig time several times a year.
The second equipment shown is our Moonpool Tubular Support Tool. For supporting of drill pipe and tubulars and enable operation in harsh weather and high current conditions.
The current designs of mouseholes in the marked either do not have energy absorbing capabilities, or have longer length and thus see excessive green sea loads during harsh weather. This makes it necessary to shorten the length of the mousehole during winter season. Stavanger Engineering’s Telescopic Energy Absorbing Mousehole [TEAM] can operate at all weather conditions with a full length 90 ft stand. In addition, TEAM can be retracted and skidded away when not in use, eliminating 6 – 8 hours of rig time several times per year. TEAM is designed to absorb the energy from a 27.000 lbs / 12.250 kg drill collar stand dropped from 96 ft. The equipment will be delivered in Q2-2025 and installed on Deepsea Stavanger.
The Moonpool Tubular Support Tool is used to support tubulars and keep the rig working for longer in harsh weather and high current conditions. The first Moonpool Tubular Support Tool was delivered in 2020 and has a proven track record as a reliable tool to keep tubulars vertical during harsh weather and high current conditions. Another Moonpool Tubular Support Tool will be delivered to Deepsea Aberdeen during Q2-2025.
The patent pending solution is yet another example of the tailored solutions that we like to do at Stavanger Engineering.
Thanks to Odfjell Drilling for the orders and a good cooperation on these projects!
