A few days ago in Bangkok, a major soil collapse happened after sewer leakage washed away the ground beneath an active building. Within hours, the earth simply “disappeared.”

The obvious question: Why didn’t the building fall? 🤔
The answer: deep foundations.

Even though some piles cracked, most of them stood firm, resisted settlement, and kept the building standing tall.
If it had been on shallow foundations… the result would’ve been catastrophic.

💡 The clear lesson: In flood-prone or water-sensitive soils, piles aren’t a luxury — they’re the first line of defense.
And what may look like “overdesign” on paper often becomes the reason lives and structures are saved.

At the end of the day, piles don’t just carry loads — they carry safety and trust in everything we build.
