“Dead Serious”by DAS EFX is widely recognized for introducing a groundbreaking, rapid-fire lyrical style often referred to as "sewaside" or the "iggity" flow, which heavily influenced the hip hop landscape of the early 1990s.

Das EFX's signature style involved weaving pop-culture references with nonsensical, rhythmic syllables like adding "-iggity" to words, creating a tongue-twisting "lyrical gymnastics" that was instantly imitated by other artists of the era.
