Sanu Kulu, originally from Dhading, is the owner of Anjan & Ashish Music Shop located at Paknajol. His love for musical instruments began at 12-13, and while studying in Kathmandu, he learned the craft by working alongside his brother. Instead of leaving what he knew, he chose to build on it. With 1.5 lakhs and family support, he started his own shop, handcrafting madal, dhyangro, tabla, and drums. Today, with a team of four, the shop earns around Rs. 10,000 daily, and renowned artists play instruments made here. Sanu’s belief is simple, education matters, but skills turn passion into livelihood.
Rabindra Maharjan from Paknajol carries forward a legacy rooted in soil and patience. Kumari Nursery began in 2054 BS, when his parents brought flowers from Godawari for just Rs. 75 and, after seeing others show interest, decided to start selling plants. What began as simple curiosity slowly grew into a family-run nursery. Despite losses and challenges along the way, today Kumari Nursery has outlets in Paknajol, Khusibu, Chitlang, and Dhunge Besi, employs 8-10 people, and imports plants from Spain, Germany, and Thailand. Rabindra believes that while going abroad is a choice or compulsion for many, staying back in Nepal means growing together with family, and that belief continues to shape their journey.
Aadesh Das, also known as 'Kaamah,' is 27, he transformed his childhood curiosity into craft. Starting with a simple tattoo machine he made at home, he even tattooed his own hand, learning entirely on his own through persistence and passion. His journey brought him to Kathmandu, where at Sirjana College of Fine Arts he met Mistah and Lotusman. Together, they founded Dyah Khyah Tattoo. Today, their work, rooted in Nepali traditional designs and practiced with impeccable hygiene; earns trust both at home and abroad, a testament to pride, patience, and the belief that art can thrive while staying in Nepal.
A young entrepreneur from Patan, Dikesh Maharjan turned his overseas internship experience into a clear decision, to build at home, not leave it behind. Starting Cotton H**p with just Rs. 5,000 and his wife’s constant support, he began by making bags from Nepali raw materials and selling them through online platforms, where each order felt like progress. What started slow soon picked up pace, one single bag design sold over 10,000 pieces in a year. Today, Dikesh provides jobs to eight people and earns an average monthly profit of Rs. 1 lakh, all while working toward his goal of taking MADE IN NEPAL products to the global market.

After becoming a head chef in the UK, Sankalpa Shrestha chose a different kind of success, staying close to family and building something meaningful in Nepal. When COVID shut down his pashmina business, he didn’t stop. Starting again from zero, he invested 20–25 lakh to open Cafe O2 Pizza Place. Just three years later, the cafe generates up to Rs. 12 lakh monthly and provides jobs to five people. Beyond business, Sankalpa continues to lead his band Sankalp & The Stereo, writing songs and creating music, proving that with resilience, it’s possible to grow both passion and purpose side by side.

-Born in Dharan, Bajho Ghar, 24-year-old Diya has endured a childhood full of hardship, financial struggle, and social judgement. But none of it stopped her. Starting work at just 13, she took on every job she could, from grocery shops, painting, hotel work and even a chips factory, just to support her family. Today, she stands proudly as Dharan’s youngest female safari driver, driving from 5 AM to 10 PM to earn a living and uplift her home. Her humility and hard work earned her a wide online following, earning her the nickname “Viral Didi.” Her journey reached a new milestone as she became the Brand Ambassador of the Safari Yatri App. Diya’s life reminds us: When courage leads the way, struggle becomes strength.

“They say when one woman rises, she lifts many along with her.” And Nirmala Chauhan Bhandari from Mechinagar, Jhapa, is a living example of that belief. Over the past 10 years, she has trained women to make incense, soap, thread, fabric, and other home-based products, empowering 400+ women to start their own income-generating ventures. Through her पुनः जागृत प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र , 25 women have permanent jobs today. For Nirmala, entrepreneurship is not just business; it’s about turning waste into value, increasing income and protecting the environment. Her journey proves that empowerment starts at home, and spreads like light.

Rista Gurung never had formal dance training, YouTube and TV were her teachers. From her early school days in Pokhara to getting her first appreciation in Class 2, she never let go of dance. Years of practice, passion and consistency finally paid off when she won Mero Dance Universe Season 2. The show gave her confidence, exposure and a platform to grow as an artist. Today, she is moving ahead with the dream of opening her own dance studio, continuing both acting and dance here in Nepal, proving that talent shines when you trust your hustle.
Dikshya Paudel, from Kavre, began her career as a teacher, but her heart was set on doing something meaningful in her own community. With her husband’s business mindset and her passion for local impact, they launched Lekbesi with an investment of Rs. 5 lakh and a loan of Rs. 10 lakh for women entrepreneurs. What began as a small idea has grown into a brand that now collaborates with over 100 lapsi farmers, creating lapsi truffles, candies, and powders that are hygienically processed and certified. Despite early doubts from family and financial struggles, Lekbesi now earns around Rs. 60 lakhs a year, employing 10 staff and exporting products abroad. Dikshya’s story reminds us that when you believe in local products and work with purpose, Nepal can give you more than you imagined.

After SLC, Rajkumar Karki came to Kathmandu in search of opportunities and started working with a salary of just Rs 7,000. Years of hard work, struggle, and a dream to build something of his own pushed him to invest around Rs 15 lakhs to start Mount Strada Coffee & Barista Academy. Today, his business has expanded into coffee beans, machine sales, and barista training services. More than earning a good income, Rajkumar now employs 20 people, proving how far determination and skill can take you. His story shows that with patience, courage, and consistent effort, anyone can build a successful future in Nepal.

From cooking abroad to serving his own community, Umesh Bohora of Baitadi made a difference during the lockdown by distributing food to over 1,500 people and delivering oxygen and relief supplies to hospitals. Today, through Arni Bhansaghar, he offers nutritious dishes made from millet, buckwheat, maize, and barley, while sourcing organic apples, honey, and ghee directly from farmers in Jumla, Rasuwa, Pyuthan, and other districts. By creating a reliable market for local produce, Umesh has directly benefited over 50 farmer families, proving that social impact and entrepreneurship can grow together.
