Last week I sat in on the fireside chat with at to hear the perspective of someone who runs and helps run some of the most successful podcasts in NZ. It was refreshing to hear someone else agree that too many NZ podcasts are well....kinda boring.

But the biggest takeaway for me is something I heard in every session throughout the day, regardless of topic, and that was that organic socials are more powerful drivers than ever before, if you are doing them right.

If you are doing your job of entertaining, or educating (which is what everyone goes to social for) then the algorithm is actually doing better than ever at serving your content to the most specifically relevant people. That means you aren't getting thousands of views right now, sure. But the right people will see you, or in the case of podcasts, hear you.

Yep, sometimes we just gotta be a dick
