We’ve officially hit 10,000 signatures on the petition 👏

That is 10,000 voices standing up, showing support, and backing our sport. It’s a huge milestone and something everyone involved should be proud of.

But this doesn’t mean we stop.

Signatures show strength submissions create impact. When the submission process opens, it is absolutely crucial that supporters take the next step and have their say. Decision-makers don’t just count signatures they read submissions.

Neville Clark - NZRCAs Newest Life Member

At the Outram Rodeo Club this past weekend, we were proud to recognise one of the true voices of New Zealand rodeo.

Neville Clark was presented with his NZRCA Life Membership badge, an honour that reflects decades of service, passion, and commitment to the sport.

Neville has been a staple of North Island rodeos for decades, proudly announcing at NZRCA events with passion, knowledge, and that unmistakable voice that so many competitors and fans have grown up listening to. A former competitor himself, Neville brings a lifetime of rodeo experience to the microphone, with an understanding of the sport that can only come from living it.

Based in Gisborne, Neville was recently featured on The Country with Jamie Mackay, where he reflected on his rural roots and lifelong involvement in rodeo. He was also recognised with a Life Membership at the 150th Poverty Bay A&P Show, further highlighting the respect he holds across the wider rural and rodeo communities.

Life Membership is reserved for those who have gone above and beyond, and Neville’s contribution, both in and out of the arena, has helped shape rodeo culture in New Zealand for generations.

On behalf of the NZRCA and the entire rodeo family, thank you Neville for your dedication, your voice, and your legacy.
