Based on Roald Dahl's beloved story, Matilda the Musical is a joyful celebration of courage, imagination, and the power of standing up for what's right.

Featuring the award-winning music and lyrics of Tim Minchin, this spectacular musical follows the story of Matilda – an extraordinary young girl whose intelligence, determination, and bravery help her overcome bullies, challenge injustice, and change her world.

Proudly presented by Hamilton Operatic Society, this production marks a special milestone as Hamilton's oldest musical theatre company helps celebrate the Waikato's newest theatrical venue. With a talented local cast, unforgettable songs, laugh-out-loud moments, and plenty of heart, Matilda the Musical is a theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.
