Ride distance is about 53 - 56Km. First of take 1st left after 1st south bridge from Otorohanga onto Otewa road. From here you can either take the right turn after the 100k signs onto Mangawhero road. (slighly longer but less hilly) or take the 1st right after Otewa road. Both take you to the intersection with Bush road after a hill. Straight ahead for 1st option and a left turn for the later. The hill starts when you get onto bush road (2km ascent).
The descent brings you to where bush road meets Ngapeke road, here you take the right option. Their are a couple of hills here and the road is mostly unpaved for about 10km. Keeping to the left is not always an option on the ascents as gravel density VARIES. The second patch of paved road is where you will want to take a right onto Walker road which takes you over two more significant hills and into Te Kuiti. At end of walker road take aright onto Williams street and follow instructions on photos will take you to SH3 where a right turn will take you back to Otorohanga over one more hill after the big roundabout.

Stay on Rangiatea road which becomes Mahihi road at the intersection with Mangaoronga road. Keep on Mahihi road untiil the intersection with Whilbley road where you turn left which will take you over a one lane bridge and over more hills. Whilbery road eventually merges into Ngahape road.
