What is Spirulina?
Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae also called Cyanobacteria that contains several nutrients, including B vitamins, beta-carotene, and vitamin E, Iodine, Copper, Iron, Mg, Selenium, and Probiotics. Spirulina also contains antioxidants, chlorophyll, and phycocyanobilin and is commonly used as a source of vegan protein, so that it is a superfood due to its excellent nutritional content and health benefits.
Spirulina has a high protein of 60-70 % per 100 grams and vitamin content, which makes it an excellent dietary supplement for people on vegan diets.
