The View: Pure paradise from above!

While these island-hoppers are small, they make up the biggest seaplane network on Earth.

Truly the ultimate way to arrive in paradise and one of the reasons why I love traveling in Maldives!

This Maldives 🇲🇻 island has 600 inhabitans and needs thousands water bottles per week! 😱

Sadly, Kudafari, a local island in the Maldives, already has everything it needs to produce its own drinking water.

A natural water source. A well. A water treatment plant. The infrastructure. The licenses.

The only thing missing for several years is the final approval from the government in Male, the capital of Maldives!

Until that happens, a boat arrives every week loaded with 6,000 bottles of water, creating thousands of pieces of unnecessary plastic waste that could potentially be avoided.

But… I learned the water bottle company is from Male. So it is not hard to do the math and connect the dots what is actually going on here!

SAD! 💸💰

It shows that solving environmental challenges isn’t always about technology. Sometimes the solution is already there, waiting to be used.
