Junio 2023 - Cusco, Perú

A 3.700 metros sobre el nivel del mar, bajo el desfiladero del río Apurímac, yace el último puente colgante: el Q’eswachaka. Esta impresionante obra es un legado de la cultura inca que ha permanecido vigente durante más de 500 años, resistiendo así al paso del tiempo.

Como es costumbre, cada mes de junio, esta construcción es renovada en medio de un ritual de tres días. Siguiendo técnicas ancestrales transmitidas de generación en generación, las comunidades de Huinchiri, Chaupibanda, Choccayhua y Ccollana Quehue se reúnen para llevar a cabo este desafío y concretar la hazaña de cruzar el puente.

At 3,700 meters above sea level, under the Apurimac River gorge, lies the last suspension bridge: the Q'eswachaka. This impressive work is a legacy of the Inca culture that has remained in force for more than 500 years, thus resisting the passage of time.

As is customary, every June, this construction is renewed in the middle of a three-day ritual. Following ancestral techniques transmitted from generation to generation, the communities of Huinchiri, Chaupibanda, Choccayhua and Ccollana Quehue come together to carry out this challenge and achieve the feat of crossing the bridge.

La tercera toma de Lima, se realizó en medio de un enfrentamiento entre los manifestantes y efectivos policiales que cercaron la avenida Abancay y otras zonas aledañas al centro de Lima. Se reportaron varios civiles heridos y algunos detenidos. Según el reporte del ministerio del interior 21.000 personas habrían participado en la marcha.

The third takeover of Lima took place in the midst of a confrontation between protesters and police officers who surrounded Abancay avenue and other areas surrounding the center of Lima. Several injured civilians and some detainees were reported. According to the report of the Ministry of the Interior, 21,000 people would have participated in the march.

Entre danzas y música se escenificó el Inti Raymi 2023. Fiesta en honor al dios Sol y a la Pachamama. Turistas extranjeros, nacionales, y cusqueños llegaron a la explanada de Sacsayhuamán para ver al Inca, el máximo representante del imperio del Tahuantinsuyo.
