The energy of menstruation is often related to the new moon energy. It is that dark space of deep knowing, rest, and release.

Painting is a merging of my inner landscape and the outer landscape. As we come near this Aquarius new moon I feel myself going inward and wanting to dive into my creative self to explore this inner landscape. By painting the beauty I see around me, I attune to the energy flowing through that which I am painting as well as my own body.
