Solemnity of Pentecost at St Paul’s Parish, Catholic Archdiocese of Mt Hagen.
St Paul’s Parish celebrated the Solemnity of Pentecost in a special way today with the Handover & Takeover of our Parish Priest.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by His Grace Archbishop Clement Papa, D.D and the con-celebrant were Fr Jayakira SVD and Fr Andrew Kingal. A warm welcome to Fr Andrew Kingal from Koibuga Parish as our new Parish Priest of St Paul's and we also thank and farewell Fr Jayakira, SVD, who has been appointed as the new Parish Priest of Tupa Parish – Jiwaka Province Archdiocese of Mt Hagen. May the Holy Spirit guide both Fr Andrew and Fr Jayakira in their new missions as they continue to serve God’s people with courage and love.

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, «Peace be with you.»
When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
(Jesus) said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the holy Spirit.
Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained."
