The Department of Education issued DepEd Memorandum No. 027, s. 2026, dated May 5, 2026, titled “2026 Brigada Eskwela Implementing Guidelines.”

Based on the memorandum, the 2026 Brigada Eskwela Program will be conducted from June 1 to 5, 2026 in preparation for the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027. This annual activity promotes the spirit of bayanihan by encouraging schools, parents, teachers, learners, LGUs, stakeholders, and community partners to work together in making schools clean, safe, functional, and ready for learners.

This year’s theme is “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.” The program focuses on school preparation, reading and literacy support, improvement of school facilities, structural safety, clean-up drives, volunteerism, community partnerships, and accurate inventory of school resources.

The National Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off will be held on May 29, 2026 in Cabadbaran City, CARAGA, while the nationwide kick-off will be conducted on June 1, 2026. The implementation, monitoring, inventory validation, and reporting activities will take place from June 1 to 5, 2026.
