Today, we proudly celebrate the birthday of a remarkable mentor, leader, and one of the pioneers behind the establishment of the BTVTED Course at Tiwi Community College — Mr. Melchor N. Segovia, Ed.D.

𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗧𝗩𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀!

Please be informed that the results of the Qualifying Examination for incoming 2nd year shifters will be announced tomorrow, May 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM. After the announcement of results, interviews for qualified shifters will immediately follow.

In addition, applications for incoming First Year students who wish to enroll in the BTVTED program but failed to qualify in the TCCET are given a second chance to still enroll in BTVTED by passing the Qualifying exam for First Year.

Last 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗕𝗧𝗩𝗧𝗘𝗗 students presented their prototypes under the theme “𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: 𝗕𝗧𝗩𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀.” The activity showed how students can turn simple ideas into useful solutions for real problems in the community.

The students created projects that combine science and technology with care for society. Each group showed their skills, creativity, and teamwork in making designs that can help people in their daily lives.

This activity helped the students learn by doing. It also gave them the chance to work together, think of solutions, and share their ideas. Most of all, it showed that students can create meaningful projects that can help improve the community.
