Praktikal advise from a mom advisor:
Unahin mong icover lahat ng bases mo bago ka mag ipon ng emergency fund. Protection muna bago savings. Pwede ka naman kumuha ng mababang premium then tyaka ka magsimulang mag tabi.
Kumuha ka ng more than 1 insurance policies. Ang unang una mong insurance, bonggahan mo ang benefits pero yung premium na alam mong hindi ka masasaktan. Kung hindi mo kayang pagsabay sabayin gawin mo gradually. Ikaw naman ang makakaalam kung kelan mo na kaya.
Yung 2nd policy mo, ifocus mo sa retirement funding mo. Mababa ang benefits, pero maganda ang investment. Pwede ka ding kumuha ng iba pang insurance policy na para sa long term goals mo, or para sa pang tuition ng mga anak mo. Huwag mong kukuhain lahat yan sa isang policy.
Kapag ok na ang 1-3 mo, tyaka ka bumili ng gusto mong investment. Bahay, lupa, kotse, negosyo. Bakit? Para kung sakaling may hindi inaasahang mangyare sayo, hindi mawawala yung mga pinaghirapan mo. Dahil insurance ang magbabayad neto para sayo.
