Jeremiah NüGen is the modern evolution of one of the Philippines’ most beloved R&B vocal groups. Emerging from the legacy of the original Jeremiah, the new collective brings a refreshed sound grounded in soulful harmonies, emotional storytelling, and contemporary
R&B influences—while paying deep respect to the group’s roots and its musical journey.

Following a mutual understanding among original members that the classic name “Jeremiah” will be used only when all three founders perform together, the band led by Froi Calixto, one of the iconic voices behind Jeremiah’s signature sound, formed Jeremiah NüGen, a new chapter inspired by the group’s history, brotherhood, and enduring connection with fans.

Joining Froi is Maki Ricafort, his former bandmate from ReSoul, the group they co-founded in 2005 after the first disbandment of Jeremiah. Maki brings extensive musical experience: he was a standout contestant in The Voice Philippines (Season 1) and a former member of South Border, contributing to some of the most memorable OPM performances of the era.

Adding new depth and vocal richness is Ken Fraser, an acclaimed Filipino vocalist who emerged as a defending champion on ABS-CBN’s Tawag ng Tanghalan and as a featured contender on GMA’s The Clash Season 2, known for his powerful vocals and
emotive interpretations across pop, jazz, and ballad genres.

The core heartbeat of Jeremiah NüGen is powered by its seasoned rhythm section:

• Gary Guevarra – Bass
• Carlito Balingit Jr. – Keyboard

Together, they create a vibrant fusion of nostalgic soul and modern R&B, bridging the timeless sound fans grew up with and the evolving artistry of today.

Jeremiah NüGen also carries a deeply emotional significance as the group continues to honor the memory and musical legacy of Piwee Polintan, whose influence and brotherhood remain central to the group’s identity.

With new music, live performances, and collaborations on the way, Jeremiah NüGen aims to connect with longtime listeners and introduce their sound to a new generation—continuing the journey with purpose, passion, and reverence for the past.
