On May 6, 2026, the CGSMS Council visitation was successfully conducted together with the six candidates and their projects focused on ecology and cultural heritage. The visitation became meaningful and productive because it allowed the candidates to present their ideas and showcase the progress of their projects to the council and visitors.

With the guidance and support of Tita Patricia, Tita Ara, Tita Mary Ann, and Tita Mychelle, the visitation was carried out smoothly and successfully. They were present during the activity and generously shared their suggestions, opinions, and creative ideas to help the candidates further improve and strengthen their projects.

Their advice inspired the candidates to become more confident and motivated in developing their advocacies for their respective communities.
The activity also highlighted the importance of teamwork, environmental awareness, and preserving cultural heritage. It gave the candidates an opportunity to learn from one another and gain new insights that could help them make their projects more effective and meaningful.

The 4-day training on Basic Life Support (BLS) with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Standard First Aid (SFA), held on April 21–24, 2026, was a very informative and valuable experience. It provided us with essential knowledge and practical skills that can be applied during emergency situations. As students and Girl Scouts, this training helped us become more prepared, responsible, and confident in helping others.
On the first day, we attended a lecture about Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the proper use of an AED. The instructors explained the importance of immediate response during life-threatening situations, especially when a person is unconscious or not breathing. We were taught the correct procedures and steps in performing CPR and how to safely operate an AED.
On the second day, we had a practical evaluation where we performed CPR on both adults and infants. This allowed us to apply the knowledge we learned from the first day. Although it was challenging, it helped us improve our skills and build confidence. The trainers closely guided us and provided helpful feedback to ensure we performed the procedures correctly.
The third day focused on Standard First Aid. We had a lecture about common injuries and the proper ways to treat them. We also learned different bandaging techniques, which are important in managing wounds and preventing further injury or infection. The discussion was clear, detailed, and easy to understand.
On the fourth day, we practiced bandaging and learned how to properly transfer victims during emergency situations. We also participated in a simple rescue activity where we applied all the skills we had learned throughout the training. After completing the activities, an awarding ceremony was held to recognize our participation and efforts.
Overall, the training was a meaningful and enriching experience. It not only enhanced our knowledge but also developed our sense of responsibility and readiness to help others. The skills we learned, such as CPR, using an AED, and providing first aid, are very important and can help save lives. I am grateful for this opportunity and will continue to apply and share what I have learned.
