𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗥𝗢 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

As part of its continuing commitment to environmental protection and sustainable water resource management, the Local Government Unit of Batad, under the leadership of Hon. Elvira P. Alarcon and Hon. Steven Michael Y. Andrada, through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), successfully conducted water sampling and testing activities in various bodies of water within the municipality in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau Region VI (DENR-EMB 6).

The activity aims to assess the current condition and quality of water resources, ensure environmental compliance, and gather essential data that will support future environmental planning, conservation, and rehabilitation initiatives of the municipality.

Water sampling and testing were conducted in the following areas:

• Sibajao River – Alapasco Bridge, Pasayan Bridge, Drancalan Bridge, and Malico Bridge
• Alapasco Dam – Viewing Area and Spillway Area
• Salong Bridge
• Binon-an Bridge
• Tapi-an Bridge

The LGU Batad remains steadfast in promoting environmental sustainability and safeguarding the municipality’s natural resources for the benefit of present and future generations.

8 kilograms of pet bottles were successfully bartered with 1 Bar detergent and 1 pouch powder detergent 😊
