10 Unwritten Rules of the Barangay Basketball Court 🏀

1.Winners stay, losers wait.
If your team loses, it's time to give the court to the next squad.

2.Respect the "next game" call.
Whoever called "next" first gets the next slot. Everybody remembers.

3. Don't argue every foul.
One or two discussions are normal. Ten minutes of debating one play is not.

4. The ball owner has influence.
The guy who brought the ball automatically gets a little extra respect.

5. Never underestimate the player in slippers.
He might be the best player on the court.

6.Trash talk is allowed; disrespect isn't.
Talk about the game, not someone's family or personal life.

7. If the ball goes far away, the youngest player retrieves it.
Nobody agreed to this rule, but somehow it always happens.

8. Keep track of the score.
If nobody remembers the score, prepare for a barangay court trial.

9. "Last game na" doesn't mean last game.
It usually means two or three more games.

10. You leave with the same friends you came with.
Play hard, compete hard, but don't start real fights. You'll see everyone again tomorrow.
