Located in Paris, France, the Sainte-Geneviève Library is an architectural landmark and was recently named the 10th most beautiful library in the 2025 1000 Libraries Awards. Completed in 1850 to the designs of Henri Labrouste, it is celebrated for its innovative exposed iron framework and its magnificent reading room, where rows of elegant iron columns and arched ceilings create a sense of light and space. Home to an extensive collection with roots in the abbey of Sainte-Geneviève, it remains one of the city's most beloved spaces for study and quiet reflection.

(Late upload) Shortly before 9 AM on June 22, 2026, the 2 high school boys (ages 14 & 15) that open fired at the San Jose National High School campus in Tacloban City left 3 students dead, 20 injured and sent several terrified students running away for cover. That very day, we noticed that the local high school students (mostly boys) who came to our library on their lunch break were unusually very quiet and most were engrossed in doing their homework or schoolwork!
