MODULAR LEARNING OR FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING

What is the best way for children to learn? Where can children learn more? Is it Modular Learning that children prefer today or is it the usual Face-to-Face Learning?

Modular Learning:

There has been a change in the education of children since the pandemic began. Modular learning has become the way young people learn. Modular learning is the current learning modality of primary education in the Philippines where the traditional teacher-student practice has now been shifted to mother-child since the mothers are the immediate assistants in their children's education.

Many of the parents complain and are not in favor of this method of learning, they are the ones who are struggling. Most children do not follow the parent when it comes to parental teaching. They also do not give time to do the module for many reasons

They are working- some of the mothers or both of the parents are working.
Busy with housework- Parents are always busy with the housework, washing clothes,
cleaning the house and so many everyday household chores.
Taking care of other small children- some parents have many children.

And many other reasons why they cannot focus on their child's education. Sometimes the parents are the ones answering the module to finish it quickly and some children are not obeying the parents to answer the module. Most of the children are not focused on their module because of lack of guidance, no sensible study time, and prioritizing playing or doing something else.

Some parents favor Modular Learning. Here are some reasons why they are in favor of modular learning.
They no longer accompany their children to school.
They no longer pay the fare.
They no longer provide food allowance.
They no longer spend money on buying shoes, uniforms, and other school supplies.

Face-to-Face Learning:

Face-to-face learning is an instructional method where the course content and learning materials are taught in person to a group of students. This allows for live interaction between a learner and an instructor, This is the most traditional type of learning instruction.

Some parents are in favor of face-to-face learning. Here are some reasons why parents are in favor of face-to-face learning.
They will no longer be given time to teach their child.
Children learn better when the teaching is done at school and their teacher teaches them.
No noisy environment.
No one could disturb the children in learning.
They spend more time studying and they have a better chance of learning.
They also understand what is being taught to them when the right person is teaching them
Because the teachers explained it well.

But some of the parents are not in favor of this traditional learning. It costs more when their children go to school in person. There are a lot of expenses when the children are face-to-face. There are things to be needed like shoes, bags, and other school supplies. That's why some parents are not in favor of the former traditional learning.

Whichever parent and child want, there is only one thing we must prioritize in considering the education of our children. That they grew up knowing and being taught correct learning. Let us consider the obligation of the parent to educate our children well. Education is needed by children. Let us give it to them.
