Rizal Day was originally declared a National Day of Mourning in 1898 by then-President Emilio Aguinaldo to honor Rizal's ex*****on on December 30, 1896, at Bagumbayan (Luneta), which has been renamed Rizal Park.

Today we commemorates the life and works of Dr. José Rizal. A polymath, a doctor, and a writer. He is dedicated to education and power to transform lives. Marking this day as the 128th death of Dr. José Rizal.
