STATEMENT OF CONDOLENCE AND TRIBUTE
NORTHERN SAMAR MEDIA AND PRESS CORPS

The Northern Samar Media and Press Corps expresses its profound sorrow and heartfelt condolences on the sudden passing of our colleague and friend, Chris Elmer Mangrobang Siervo, fondly known to many as “Anak san Mayaman.” His untimely departure came as a deep shock to all of us. Known for his jolly spirit, warm personality, and genuine friendliness, Elmer was more than a media practitioner—he was a source of light and camaraderie within our ranks.

His presence brought ease in the media event and engagements, laughter in the field, and unity among peers. Elmer’s contribution to the Northern Samar media community cannot be understated. As an active member of the local media in San Roque, Northern Samar, and a contributor across some social media platforms, he played a vital role in informing the public and amplifying community voices.

His work reflected not only dedication to his craft but also a sincere commitment to public service. Beyond his professional role, Elmer was a brother to many of us—approachable, dependable, and ever willing to lend a hand. His passion for storytelling and connection with people made him an endeared and cherished figure in the media circle.

As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life that touched many. His legacy will continue to live on in the stories he shared, the lives he influenced, and the memories he leaves behind. To his family, loved ones, and all who knew him, we extend our deepest sympathies. May you find comfort in the outpouring of love and in the knowledge that Elmer’s life made a meaningful difference. Rest in peace, Elmer. As your voice may have fallen silent, as your impact will forever resonate and your memory will linger in our media community.

‎Sumala san mga residente tikang pa kahapon wara tuok-tuok an dagko nga balud, ngan kagab-i umabot na sa mga iskinita sa purok 4, sa mao manta nga Brgy.

‎Sa interview natun kan Kagwad Sebastian Desoacido brgy. kagawad sa nasabi nga brgy., sobra napulo (10) an mga balay sa gilid sa dagat an nawakay ngan beinte siete (27) nga pamilya an nag evacuate tikang purok 4 ngadtu sa purok 5 tungod san dagko nga balud ngan makusog nga hangin.

‎Samtang nanawagan naman si Kagawad Robel Rocha Florano nga kunta matangpos dayun an gin-uupay nga sea wall sa Brgy. Baybay tungod kay maiha naman ini nga project, para diri na maurawhan an ada sa gilid sa dagat nga mga balay.

‎Ini nga makusog nga hangin, pag-inuran, ngan dagko nga balud nga na-iiksperyensahan sa mga Nortehanon in tungod sa "Tropical Depression Wilma" ngan san "Share line".
