In steadfast pursuit of academic excellence, democratic participation, and outcomes-based, a 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 (𝗠𝗢𝗔) between the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚 – 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 represented by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐋. 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠 and the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂) – 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 headed by the 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐕, 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐍. 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐣𝐨 was made possible. This collaborative undertaking embodies a shared institutional vision of strengthening democratic governance through education, by integrating classroom-based political theory with actual electoral administration and public service practice.

This internship was also made through the transformative leadership of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐚 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, 𝐌𝐏𝐀, 𝐃𝐏𝐀 (𝐨𝐧-𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠), 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐧 𝐀. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐚, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, whose academic stewardship continues to reinforce the role of political science as a vital instrument of nation.

𝐀𝐜𝐞 𝐙𝐞𝐤𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐋. 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐦 and 𝐀𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐅. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐲 – 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 are granted the opportunity to undertake their academic internship at the 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, where they will gain first-hand exposure to electoral processes, public administration, and constitutional mandates. This engagement not only sharpens their analytical, legal, and administrative competencies but also cultivates a deeper appreciation for transparency, accountability, and service to the Filipino people.

The first day of the Debate Training and Seminar commenced with an engaging and insightful series of sessions designed to strengthen participants’ critical thinking, communication skills, and analytical abilities. Delegates actively participated in discussions and foundational training activities that set the tone for a productive and transformative learning experience.

To strengthen the foundations of our students by providing them with real-world experience in fields under political science, such as organization, governance, and analysis, with the support of the Dean of the College of Arts and Education - UPHS Isabela Campus, 𝑫𝒓. 𝑮𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒏 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒂, 𝑳𝑷𝑻, and the Adviser, 𝑴𝒓. 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒉𝒖𝒂 𝑺𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒐, 𝑳𝑷𝑻, 𝑴𝑷𝑨, The College of Arts and Education has agreed with the Local Government Unit of Cabatuan at the Municipal Planning and Development Office of Isabela to provide a work immersion partnership for 3 of our political science students, 𝑨𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒂 𝑶𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒂, 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒈𝒂𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑱𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒍𝒚𝒏 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆 for their subject of Public Administration. Under the supervision of 𝑴𝒔. 𝑹𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒆 𝑨𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒎 - 𝒀𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒐, 𝑳𝑷𝑻, 𝑬𝒏𝑷. This initiative seeks to equip learners with analytical, research, and organizational skills essential for future careers in governance, public service, and political studies.

𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫

The 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 – 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚 of the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna, Isabela Campus, will be conducting its Debate Training on 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. This activity aims to strengthen students’ capabilities in structured debate, critical reasoning, and analytical discourse.

Guided by the legal and academic principles of 𝒂𝒖𝒅𝒊 𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒎 and 𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒖𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒎 𝒂𝒅 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒎, the training will focus on fostering intellectual discipline, evidence-based argumentation, and respect for diverse viewpoints. Participants will engage in sessions designed to enhance their skills in logical presentation, rebuttal construction, and public speaking.

This initiative reflects the Political Science Program’s ongoing commitment to promoting scholarly excellence and preparing students for future roles in research, advocacy, governance, and civic engagement.
