BOY Tapang is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9262 or the Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Act and bail was set at ₱72,000 by RTC Branch 143 in Cainta, Rizal.

Ronnie Quitara Suan, also known as "Boy Tapang," a 25-year-old native of Barangay Daanlungsod, Alcoy, Cebu, was arrested again on May 30, 2025, at 12:15 p.m. in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City, after authorities served a warrant of arrest.

The arrest was led by PCapt. Christopher Irwin Sanchez of the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
