Synergy Academy's owner and lead trainer, Atty. Orville T. dela Cerna was invited as a resource speaker by select 3rd year BS Psychology students of UC Banilad Campus in a seminar that they organized as a final requirement for their subject, Guidance and Counseling. It was an interesting and interactive discussion about Strengthening Family Relationships Through Effective Communication with the participants, 3rd Year HM students of the same school.

In order to apply what they learned in counseling, we had a group processing activity wherein the psychology students facilitated a group counseling session with the participants using the client/person centered approach and ensuring that they followed the stages of the counseling process.

Synergy Academy facilitated an outreach activity in partnership with Insulin for Life Philippines. A seminar titled as LIFESTYLE FOR A HEALTHIER YOU was conducted to the school personnel of DepEd Cordova district with the resource speaker, Juvy Holasca. For the focus group discussion, Joyce Cabreros, Kenneth Lim and Atty. Orville dela Cerna facilitated said discussions.

There was also a blood sugar testing conducted through the assistance of Nurse Ivy and Nurse Alan.

Thanks to PSDS Danilo Manguilimutan and Mam Charito Sumalinog, Principal of Cordova Central School for coordinating the successful conduct of this activity.

Awareness per se is therapeutic...

Self-awareness leads to Psychological Growth but it's not an easy process. The path is long and winding, and there are a lot of bumps along the way.

Thanks to Afs Klyle, Kevin, Rizza, Roan and Russel James for being the resource speakers in the Self-Awareness Seminar for 3rd Year Group Dynamics students under the Psychology Department of UCB.

To the 3rd year Block E students, remember to seize every moment wherein you are able express your love to the significant persons in your life. 'Coz said moment may easily pass by.

The foundational literacy and numeracy of students are very vital in order for them to hurdle the other subjects and learning areas across the different grade levels. This was the crux for the conceptualization of the project TALiNO between RAFI, LGU of Oslob and DepEd Cebu Province. Through said project the students of Oslob will be provided with the appropriate assistance and support for them to be more capable and capacitated in literacy and numeracy.

Synergy Academy's owner, Atty. Orville T. dela Cerna was invited as a subject matter expert in a seminar for the LGU project management team for project TALiNO. He discussed the salient features of the following laws and topics:

a) RA 7165 as amended by RA 10122, Act Creating the Literacy Coordinating Council,
b) RA 10533, Basic Education Act of 2013,
c) RA 10157, Kindergarden Education Act,
d) RA 12028, ARAL Act, and
e) EDCOM II Final Report
