Sandal recounted the harrowing moments when he risked his life to save his neighbors, including an eight-month-old baby. โ€œGipaningkamotan nakong malabang sila tagsa-tagsa. Nihigot ko dirig pisi nya nilatay ko dira ug nilangoy,โ€ Sandal said, describing how he tied an electrical wire from his house to another across the flooded area to guide people to safety.
