Titled βIVY2026 at DdOSC: Commemorating 13 Years of Volunteerism on the International Volunteer Year,β the forum, held via Zoom Teleconference and spearheaded by the Collegeβs Volunteerism Focal Christianmer Cabreros, aims to strengthen awareness and appreciation of volunteerism within the College and its stakeholders.

[ππ‘ π£ππ’π§π’π¦] Davao de Oro State College joined the Provincial Sectoral Consultation on the proposed review and amendment of the Local Government Code of 1991 on May 26, 2026, at the Ritz Hotel, Davao City.
Conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Davao de Oro, the consultation gathered representatives from various sectors across the province to provide recommendations, sectoral insights, and policy inputs aimed at strengthening local governance mechanisms responsive to present-day realities and community needs.
Moreover, the activity highlighted DILG Davao de Oroβs commitment to an inclusive and comprehensive consultation process by presenting proposed amendments covering all seven sectors of the Local Government Code.
Through the sectoral discussions, participants were given the opportunity to raise concerns, share grassroots experiences, and contribute recommendations toward improving governance policies and public service delivery.
Furthermore, the consultation underscored the importance of participatory governance by ensuring that community voices and sectoral perspectives are considered in policy reform discussions.
The exchange of insights among government agencies, civil society organizations, and sectoral representatives likewise reinforced the shared responsibility of stakeholders in shaping responsive, inclusive, and people-centered reforms.
Representing DdOSC in the consultation were Legal Unit Head Atty. Mil L. Lorono, Extension Services Division Director Dr. Jeson N. Geroche, Production Services Division Director Dr. Jennifer T. Pelegrino, Administrative Officer III Kenny Jim M. Gambong, and Legal Assistant II Christianmer C. Cabreros.
