​A massive congratulations to all our incoming Grade 7 STE applicants who successfully completed the Face-to-Face Interview phase today!

​We were incredibly impressed by the communication skills, potential, and passion for science and mathematics displayed by our young hopefuls. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the parents and guardians who accompanied and supported their children throughout this rigorous process.

❓​WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
The Jaro NHS STE Committee is now in the final phase of evaluation. We are carefully consolidating the data to determine the final ranking of our applicants based on the following criteria:

📝 Qualifying Exam Score (60%)
🗣️ Face-to-Face Interview (25%)
📊 Grade 6 Final Rating in English, Science, and Math (15%)

📰 NEWS UPDATE | JARO NHS SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES GRADE 7 STE QUALIFYING EXAM

​Jaro National High School successfully administered the written Qualifying Examination for incoming Grade 7 applicants of the Science, Technology, and Engineering (STE) Program, March 7, 2026.

​Hopeful applicants filled the testing rooms early morning, putting their best foot forward as they tackled the standardized assessment in Science, English, and Mathematics. This rigorous written exam is a critical step in the screening process, constituting 60% of the applicants' overall ranking for admission into the specialized curriculum.

​NEXT PHASE: FACE-TO-FACE INTERVIEWS

With the written exams officially concluded, the STE applicants will advance to the final phase of the screening process: the Face-to-Face Interview, scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026.

​Please be advised of the upcoming Qualifying Examination schedule.

​🗓 Date: Saturday, March 7, 2026
⏰ Exam Time: 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN
📍 Venue: Jaro National High School

​IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

• Call Time: All applicants must be at the venue by exactly 7:30 AM for checking of attendance and room assignments.

• What to Bring: Please bring a pencil with an eraser. Students are also encouraged to bring their own snacks and water.
