WVSU - Main Campus Air Force ROTC Unit Graduates 267 Cadets in 526th DMST Joint Ceremony

A total of 11 Advanced Cadet Officers and 256 Basic Cadets were formally recognized during the Joint ROTC Graduation and Oath-Taking Ceremony of the West Visayas State University – Main Campus, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward becoming citizen-reservists.

The ceremony, conducted with full military honors, highlighted the cadets’ discipline, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to service. It commenced with the Entry of Troops, a traditional military formation that showcased precision, unity, and the results of rigorous training. Followed by the entry of the Corps Commander, C/COL Leopoldo Moises III A Dollente 1CL, along with his Staff.

After a series of Drills and Ceremonies, the event proceeded with the Pass in Review, where the Corps Commander and Staff, along with the cadets, marched in synchronized formation, demonstrating their rigorous training, coordination, and unwavering discipline before the reviewing party.

The invocation was led by Sgt Ronaldo G Homena PAF (Res), setting a solemn tone for the program. This was followed by the Welcome Remarks delivered by Dr. Francis O. Pantino, NSTP Director of WVSU - Main Campus, who commended the cadets for their dedication, sacrifices, and accomplishments throughout their ROTC training.

The Reading of Completion Order was conducted by TSg Lloyd E Abaca PAF, NCOIC of 526th DMST, formally confirming that the cadets had successfully met all program requirements. This was followed by the Presentation of Graduates led by SSg Judie F Layno PAF, Asst. NCOIC of 526th DMST, signifying their readiness to transition into the reserve force.

The Declaration of Graduates was officiated by LTC BRUCE A PAKINGKING PAF (GSC), Commanding Offier of 5th Air Reserve Center, officially recognizing the cadets’ completion of their training. He also led the Distribution of Certificates of Completion, Special Awards & Appreciation, assisted by LTC RENE P PIABOL JR PAF, Commandant of 526th DMST, honoring outstanding cadets for their excellence and service.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the Turnover of Graduates to Tactica Operations Group Reserve 6 (TOG Reserve 6), led by LTC BRUCE A PAKINGKING PAF (GSC), symbolizing the graduates’ transition into active participation in the reserve force.

The Acceptance and Oath Taking Ceremony of Reservists was administered by CPT CESAR G CAPELLAN PAF (Res), Group Adminitration, TOG Reserve 6, where the graduates pledged their commitment to serve and protect the nation as responsible citizen-soldiers.

The Introduction of Keynote Speaker was delivered by LTC RENE P PIABOL JR PAF, followed by the keynote message of LTC BRUCE A PAKINGKING (GSC). In his address, he emphasized the importance of patriotism, integrity, and selfless service, reminding the graduates of their vital role in strengthening the nation’s reserve force.

The ceremony concluded with the rendition of the Philippine Air Force Hymn, followed by a commemorative photo session capturing a proud and defining moment for the graduates as they embark on their new role in service to the country.
