🎄🚀 The first-ever Christmas celebration in space happened in 1968 aboard Apollo 8? This historic mission gave humanity the first glimpse of Earth from the Moon, a breathtaking “Earthrise” photo that reminded us just how small and connected we are.

On Christmas Eve, astronauts Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and Bill Anders read the opening verses of Genesis, their words floating through the void of space to over a billion people in 64 countries. And just as they emerged from lunar orbit, Jim Lovell added a cheeky holiday surprise, announcing, “Please be informed, there IS a Santa Claus!” 🎅✨

This Halloween season, we’re excited to introduce Sophia, the world’s first humanoid robot with citizenship! Developed by Hanson Robotics, Sophia is no ordinary robot; she’s equipped with advanced AI that lets her recognize faces, hold conversations, and express a wide range of human-like emotions. First unveiled in 2016, she quickly gained fame for her uncanny resemblance to humans, sparking both intrigue and debate around AI’s future.

Sophia made history in 2017 when Saudi Arabia granted her honorary citizenship, making her the first robot to receive such recognition. She was designed to connect with people, learn from social interactions, and engage in conversations on complex topics like human rights and the future of artificial intelligence. Her journey has fueled discussions about ethics, robot rights, and the evolving relationship between humans and machines.
