Bella and I (with Sir Mario from STII's College of Agriculture) recently attended a training on innovating, integrating, marketing, and launching agricultural products.

We have been developing lettuce chips as a healthy snack, and this training is our final push before launching.

Chichirya ra ni 😁 apan isa kini ka creative entrepreneurship effort aron makadugang sa income sa usa ka farmer.

Farming alone usually means low income. But add a business mindset to farming and you have business potential.

Kani nga potential gusto nato ma-demonstrate pinaagi sa pag-combine sa hydroponics lettuce production ug sa innovation towards lettuce chips production.

Simple ang formula: farming + innovation + market strategy = entrepreneurship.

It is with pride and joy that I share with you some photos from yesterday's wedding ceremony of my youngest daughter.

Joybee and Enzo are starting a most blissful chapter in their life, with the love and support of their families.

So this is it - all four of my children are now married. Bella and I are officially empty-nesters.

God is good. 🙏

This year's sub-theme highlights how today's women - just like the Babaylans of old - shape and influence our world.

And I feel there's no better example than my own Babaylan - my dearest Bella.

Babaylans were known as healers, intuitive and wise leaders, nurturing yet powerful. Dili ba qualities ning tanan sa akong asawa?

In our little place in this world, Bella has managed to become the mother of thousands of students, and sister to many women in the province.

As legislator, she has shaped laws. As school president, she is shaping lives.

So this month I honor not only who she is - but all the women she continues to serve and guide. As a modern day Babaylan, she empowers and uplifts so that others can rise, too!
