In the tourism industry, "visitor" is the term used to refer to its clients or customers, and is differentiated based on how they engage in tourism activities:
👉 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 (𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧) is a visitor who stays at least one night in a collective or private accommodation in the destination visited.
👉 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙚-𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧 is a visitor who does not spend the night in a collective or private accommodation in the destination visited. They are also known as "excursionist or day tripper".

Amazing, right? Two terms, two figures that serve different meanings and purposes—but both are vital for tourism growth.
