𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟑: 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 – 𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐘𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋

Day 3 focused on the fundamentals and officiating principles of Volleyball, highlighting proper game mechanics, referee signals, court positioning, and the essential rules that ensure fair and safe play.

Participants from BPED and BCAED engaged in hands-on demonstrations and practical discussions, strengthening their understanding of volleyball as both a teaching sport and a competitive event. The session helped future coaches and officials develop confidence in applying accurate judgments and maintaining integrity inside the court.

A productive and energy-filled day for everyone!

The afternoon session of Day 2 focused on Swimming Officiating and Fundamentals, led by Coach Maylord R. Bonifacio, a Palarong Pambansa Swimming Technical Official (Class C) from DepEd Aklan.

Coach Bonifacio shared essential knowledge on stroke mechanics, officiating signals, race protocols, and the vital role of swimming officials in ensuring fairness, accuracy, and safety during competitions. His clear explanations and practical insights helped participants from BPED and BCAED gain a deeper understanding of aquatic sports and the responsibilities of technical officials in swimming events.

We extend our appreciation to Coach Bonifacio for his dedication and for providing a meaningful and comprehensive session that further strengthens our skills in sports officiating and coaching.

Our second day continued with an informative and engaging morning lecture on Athletics,
delivered by Coach Jovie M. Ote — Athletics Coach/Trainer and Chief Field Judge
(Throwing) of Team Aklan / DepEd Aklan.

Coach Ote shared his expertise on track and field fundamentals, officiating mechanics, and
the essential responsibilities of field and track officials in ensuring accuracy, fairness, and
athlete safety. His clear explanations and practical insights helped participants from BPED
and BCAED strengthen their understanding of athletics as a core area in sports education,
coaching, and officiating.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Coach Ote for providing a meaningful and insightful
session that supports the development of our future educators, coaches, and technical
officials.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏: 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫

Our first day of the seminar kicked off with an engaging and insightful session on Basketball Officiating, led by Mr. Rey Emmanuel S. Solano, DEBRA Regional Technical Head and Palarong Pambansa Basketball Official, and DepEd Sports Coordinator of Ibajay District.

Mr. Solano shared his expertise on the fundamentals of officiating, proper court mechanics, and the vital responsibilities of referees in promoting fairness, discipline, and sportsmanship in every basketball game. Participants were given the opportunity to learn through live demonstrations and interactive discussions, making the session both educational and enjoyable.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Solano for generously sharing his knowledge and experiences with us. His passion for sports and dedication to excellence truly inspire our future coaches, officials, and educators from both BPED and BCAED programs.

The Northwestern Visayan Colleges Bachelor of Physical Education and Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education departments are set to hold a 3-Day Seminar-Workshop for Sports Officiating and Coaching on November 13–15, 2025.

This event will take place at the NVC RSQ and CSQ Gymnasium in Estancia, Kalibo, and the Aklan Tourism and Training Center in Old Buswang, Kalibo.

Sa ilalim ng mga bituin, iisa lamang ang ating layunin: ang mag-tipon tipon bilang isang pamilya at ipagdiwang ang simula ng panibagong yugto ng ating pakikipagsapalaran sa kolehiyo. Sa gabing itinakda, ating isusuot ang ating mga 𝗮𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 ⚔️, 𝗶𝘀𝗵'𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮 🪄 ang ating mga 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 💎 at sandata ng tapang at mga baluti ng pagkakaibigan.

Dalhin ang init ng apoy ng 𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐀 🔥, ang dumadaloy na karunungan ng 𝐀𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐘𝐀 💧, ang katatagang ugat ng 𝐒𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐎 🌱, ang malamig na hangin ng 𝐋𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐎 🌬️, at ang kapayapaan ng 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐀𝐒 🕊️.
