saw this in the comment, a quote by Frederick Buechner, "The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet."

Maybe part of that calling is found in the interruptions, those unexpected moments where God places people in front of us.

Our greatest joy is in His presence, doing His work, to whomever He sends us to, wherever He leads.

A paralyzed man is lowered through a roof while He’s teaching. A hemorrhaging woman reaches out in desperation as He’s on His way somewhere else. A blind beggar cries out while others try to hush him. Over and over, Jesus is stopped mid-step, mid-sentence, mid-plan. And He doesn’t just tolerate the interruptions. He welcomes them.

That’s challenging because most of us don’t. We make plans, set goals, and structure our days, often measuring success by how much we accomplish. Interruptions? They feel like setbacks, inconveniences, frustrations. But what if they’re actually invitations?

What if the moments we rush past are the very places God wants to work? What if the people we see as distractions are actually divine appointments?

Jesus lived with a deep awareness that the Kingdom of God is not just in the grand, scheduled, important moments but in the unexpected ones too. The places where our plans are disrupted. The spaces where need collides with grace.

So what if we stopped seeing interruptions as obstacles and started seeing them as opportunities? What if we held our schedules a little more loosely, with eyes open for the sacred hidden in the surprise?

Maybe the most meaningful thing you do today won’t be on your to-do list. Maybe the most powerful act of love will be the one you didn’t plan.

Maybe sometimes the miracle is in the interruption.
