One team. One journey. One unforgettable Visayas leg. 🏸

Our 7-day journey to Iloilo for the PBAD Junior Regional Badminton 2026 Super 750 – Visayas, held at the Iloilo Tigers Badminton Center, has come to an end, and what a memorable experience it has been.

With a delegation of only 19 members which composed of 11 players together with our coaches, managers, parents, and guardians, we proudly represented MTC Cebu on the regional stage. Despite our small roster, our team delivered an outstanding performance, bringing home 7 medals:
🥇 2 Gold
🥈 2 Silver
🥉 3 Bronze

More than the medals, this tournament gave our athletes valuable experience, new friendships, and lessons that will help them grow both on and off the court.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Coach “Tala” Jornellous Castro for assisting us with our accommodation in Iloilo.

To our dedicated team of MTC coaches and managers, thank you for the countless hours spent preparing our athletes, organizing every detail of the trip, and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Your hard work behind the scenes made this journey possible.

To all the parents and guardians, whether you traveled with us or supported from home, thank you for your unwavering encouragement, sacrifices, and trust. Every player is able to compete because of the love and support they receive from their families.

To our Manna Community in Cebu, thank you for cheering us on from afar. Your messages, prayers, and constant support reminded us that we were never alone on this journey.

A special thank you to our media team Vengie Levie and for the assistance Dana Jane Navarris Labay, for capturing every memorable matches and allowing us to relive this incredible experience.

Most importantly, congratulations to all of our players, those who stood on the podium and those who gave everything they had on the court. Winning medals is an achievement, but so is having the courage to compete, learn, and grow. Every one of you represented our team with heart, discipline, and sportsmanship, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Finally, our sincere appreciation to Philippine Badminton Association - PBAD for organizing another successful tournament and for continuously providing young athletes with opportunities to compete, improve, and build friendships with players from different regions across the country. Events like these continue to strengthen the badminton community and inspire the next generation of athletes.

We celebrate the victories, learn from every challenge, and return home with even greater motivation.

The road continues. Next stop: Luzon Leg. We will keep training, keep improving, and come back stronger, wiser, and more determined than ever.

Winners of the Protech 2nd Ormoc City Piña National Age Group Tournament June 3-5, 2026 🏸

As our campaign in Badminton City Linao, Ormoc City comes to a close, we proudly congratulate all players for their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Win or lose, you have represented the team with pride and heart.

We are proud to share that Team MTC has earned a total of 18 medals — 🥇 3 Gold, 🥈 3 Silver, and 🥉 12 Bronze medals in this year’s competition. Congratulations to all our medalists and participants!

Our heartfelt thanks to Protech Philippines and the organizers for a successful and well-organized tournament. Thank you as well to our parents, guardians, coaches, trainers, team managers, supporters watching from afar, Sir Vengie Levie and the media team for the live coverage, and the Mayor family for their assistance with our transportation during our stay in Ormoc.

As we head into the final day, we wish Yannika Jayden Balista, Duchess Faith Caindog, Deity Bilbao, and Ryannabry Gertos the best of luck in the Leveling Women’s Doubles Category. Play with confidence and enjoy every moment on court!
