📍𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞!

A new learning adventure has begun to unfold for Arkibo Uno as they marked the official start of their 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗻-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. Bringing their supplies of knowledge and skills, BLIS 4-1 students set out for various destinations, aiming to cross the bridge between theory and practice.

In this educational voyage, students were welcomed by selected public and special libraries, including the Manila City Library, the Supreme Court of the Philippines, the Asian Institute of Management, the University of Asia and the Pacific, the National Library of the Philippines, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the National Council on Disability Affairs, and the House of Representatives of the Philippines. Students will engage in a hundred-hour immersive and formative hands-on experience at these locations.

This marks another significant milestone for the BLIS 4-1 students. As they embark on this quest, they will surely face everything that comes their way with eagerness to learn and hopes of making meaningful contributions to the field. 🗺️🔍

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines LIS community, including preservice librarians from BLIS 4-1, joined the opening ceremony of the 35th Library and Information Services Month (LISM) at the Metropolitan Theater last Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Carrying the theme “𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘-𝗨𝗣: 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 – 𝗔 𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽”, this year’s month-long celebration aims to highlight the critical role of libraries as centers where diversity and unity collides.

The unwavering support of the PUP LIS community for this annual celebration of the contributions of the field of librarianship to the community reflects their commitment to safeguarding cultural knowledge and ensuring the achievement of an informed nation.
