ADB invites you to register for the 2025 edition of the e-learning course on Decentralization, Local Governance, and Localizing SDGs in Asia and the Pacific. The tutored e-learning program is designed to address the learning needs of ADB staff and government officials of ADBโs Developing Member Countries.
The course is designed to include self-paced and self-managed content study and activities such as self-assessment and peer-to-peer consultations. Two tutors will guide participants through the course, provide support, and respond to thematic queries and inputs from the participants.

Call for Application: E-Learning Course on Decentralization, Local Governance, and Localizing Sustainable Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific The course objectives include understanding decentralization and local governance, planning and budgeting at the subnational level, awareness of DLG reform challenges, policy linkages with the 2030 Agenda, and introducing Localizing SDG approaches into ADB operations.

โUNIFIED DIVERSITY FOR RESTORATION: COLLABORATIVE LOCAL EFFORTS FOR CLIMATE CHANGEโ

The Asian Development Bank (ADB)โs Public Sector Management and Governance (PSMG) Group, the Korea Development Institute (KDI) School of Public Policy and Management, and the African Development Bank (AfDB) are jointly organizing an International Seminar on Management for Development Results (MfDR) โUnified Diversity for Restoration: Collaborative Local Efforts for Climate Changeโ from November 14th to November 15th, 2023. The seminar will explore innovative endeavors undertaken by subnational or local governments in addressing climate change in the region, in alignment with national and global initiatives. By sharing innovative approaches and jointly examining common challenges, the event will delve into effective ways forward in strengthening the institutional capacities and resilience of subnational governments, and the political, legal, and fiscal contexts in which they operate.
Day 1 (14 November) will focus on Global-to-local and National-to-local coordination for local responses to climate change, and Day 2 will shift the emphasis to local climate change actions within regional or inter-regional context.
